acrylic on board
I have definitely been remiss in continuing to work my analog art work. I have all the usual excuses — job, family, no time, clean up is a drag, etc. But there is no doubt that digital work helps the analog in some ways, but doesn’t help in others. My drawing is advantaged in either medium. But working with color is different when there is the possibility of mud and brush work is not the same as a stylus. So I was glad I got myself motivated to get out and do this plein air. It’s actually a little building to cover garbage skips for a local restaurant (hence the title) — but I liked it as a simple, achievable and colorful subject.
